Just as the entertainment industry honors its brightest stars each year at The Academy Awards, the credit union movement too honors its "best of the best" annually through State Credit Union Award Recognition programs (Hall of Fame, Professional of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Small Credit Union Achiever's Award) and National Credit Union Award Recognition programs (Dora Maxwell, Louise Herring and Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award Program).

Through state awards such as the Professional and Volunteer of the year, and national awards, including the Dora Maxwell and Louise Herring, the Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) promotes excellence in the states' credit union movement.

The Awards & Recognition program is a wonderful opportunity to honor those in the movement who demonstrate a sincere passion for the cause, and recognize credit unions for their commitment to community.  Being able to demonstrate to your members, community, public opinion makers and lawmakers that you are an integral part of your community, as well as illustrate the credit union difference, is becoming increasingly important in today's competitive landscape.
