E. Burton Eubanks – fondly referred to as a “True Texas Gentleman” - began his career in the credit union movement in the mid-50s, serving the industry for more than 40 years. His first position was with Dallas Teachers CU (now Credit Union of Texas), where he worked for seven years.  In 1963, he accepted the position of general manager at Educators CU (Waco).  Over the next six years, he remained loyal to the movement, serving several different credit unions in various capacities.  In 1975, he joined the team of University FCU (Austin), where he served as CEO for 25 years.  Numerous organizations within the credit union movement have benefited from Eubanks’ wisdom and expertise, including the Austin, Dallas and Waco Chapters of Credit Unions; Texas Credit Union League; Credit Union National Association; Education Credit Union Council; Texas Educators Credit Union Association; State Employee Credit Union Association, Texas Association of Federal Credit Unions; Southwest Corporate FCU, and Credit Union Executives Society.
