The TCUL Chapter Recognition Program allows chapters to promote expansion and improvement of chapter programs for the benefit of member credit unions in their communities and throughout the state. Calls for entries for both award programs are done in early spring.
Distinguished Service Award
This award recognizes individuals whose contributions to the credit union movement have been primarily on the credit union and/or chapter level.
For example, each chapter may want to consider recognizing credit union founders, long-time credit union volunteers or employees, retiring CEOs, people who have coordinated special projects or fundraisers, business leaders, or elected officials. Each chapter board determines its own selection process and may select a maximum of three honorees. The deadline for 2012 honorees is Friday, April 5, 2013. For questions, please contact Jim Phelps at jphelps@tcul.coop or call (800) 442-5762 Ext. 6481.
Chapter of The Year
Reminder: The deadline to submit applications for Chapter of the Year is Friday, May 10, 2013!
Each year, Texas chapters do an outstanding job in developing and implementing creative and beneficial programs for their members. The Chapter of the Year award recognizes and celebrates the success of chapters by expanding their involvement in the areas of: Education, Public relations, Community Service, Fundraising, Political Advocacy, Chapter Involvement and Credit Union System Participation.
Chapters submitting entries are placed into one of three categories, allowing each chapter to be group together based on similarities such as total credit unions within their chapter and cumulative asset sizes.
Please utilize the Chapter of the Year workbook as a tool in planning your chapter events for the year.
For questions about submitting your chapter application, please contact Jim Phelps at jphelps@tcul.coop.
