Presenter: Dr. Kevin Streff, Secure Banking Solutions Date: Tuesday, March 20, 2012 Time: 2:00 - 3:30 pm Central
Focus: State and federal credit union examiners require you to have a comprehensive IT risk assessment process in place to evaluate information security risks and to determine appropriate safeguards. This webinar will demonstrate, step by step, how to complete an IT risk assessment that safeguards your credit union’s sensitive information and meets the needs of regulators. This technique will produce examiner-required documents and provide meaningful reports that your IT committee, management, and board can use and understand. Third-party and commercial account risk management will also be reviewed.
Federal examiners require a thorough, written IT Risk assessment to identify reasonably foreseeable internal and external threats that could lead to unauthorized disclosure, misuse, alteration, destruction, or disposal of member information. The scale and complexity of credit union operations will affect the nature of threats. After attending this webinar, you will be amazed how easy this potentially-complicated and time-consuming task becomes.
