How to Enter & Rules

How to Enter

Fees are non-refundable, so please read instructions carefully.

  1. Decide which categories you would like to enter. Prepare entries according to the Entry Rules and the directions for each category. Attach an Entry Form to each entry you submit.
  2. Do not mount your entries, place in binders or closed sleeves. Such entries will be disqualified unless a binder is noted as accepted.
  3. Complete only one Entry Fee Payment form to summarize all your entries.
  4. Ship all your entries in one package with one Entry Fee Payment Form and one check made payable to the Texas Credit Union Marketing & BD Council to cover all fees. If you would like confirmation of the arrival of your entries, please request a delivery receipt from your shipper.

Entry Rules

  1. A completed 2010 Official Entry Form must accompany each entry.
  2. Work must be original and not part of a co-op effort (except in the Miscellaneous category).
  3. Unless otherwise indicated, an “entry” consists of only one ad, brochure, logo or other item.
  4. Answers to the questions on the Entry Form will be considered in the judging of your entry for all categories. If results were not applicable for stated goals make appropriate notations.
  5. When results are required on an entry it doesn’t have to necessarily be dollars & cents. Example:  Return on Investment (ROI) may be represented in number of people reached, attendance at an event, or number of members responding.
  6. A First Place, Second Place and Award of Merit may be presented in each of the asset divisions. To ensure the integrity of the awards, First Place, Second Place and Award of Merit will be presented only if the judges determine that the criteria for each category are met and the award is warranted.
  7. If you enter the same item individually and as part of a campaign, please provide the copies for each category. Judges will not cross- reference entries.
  8. Printed scripts must accompany all audio-visual, radio, television and other electronic entries.
  9. No campaigns, programs or marketing pieces that were originally produced for another credit union may be entered in any category.
  10. Asset size determines the entry fee and judging ¬category. Judges will not expand or consolidate entries.
  11. Only the winning entries will be displayed during the Texas Credit Union League’s Marketing and Business Development Conference, October 6-8, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas. Entries will not be returned; however, conference attendees are welcome to pick up their materials (from all entries) at the end of the conference. Winners need not be present to win.
  12. Notification to winners will be made via e-mail.
