IAT Suspect Transactions: What's an RDFI to Do?

The International ACH Transactions (IAT) application was introduced into the ACH Network in September 2009.  According to NACHA, approximately 29 million IAT transactions were processed in 2011.  What percentage of these did your credit union receive?  More importantly, did you properly process these entries?  This webinar will provide an overview of the IAT rules and highlights the RDFI’s responsibilities when processing IAT entries, including OFAC compliance obligations.  In addition, the ACH Rules changes effective September 21, 2012, and March 15, 2013, will be addressed as they relate to IAT processing.

About the Presenter:
Shelly Simpson, AAP, joined EPCOR following an 11-year career with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.  As EPCOR’s Payments Education Assistant Director, she designs and conducts education programs in support of ACH, cards, and checks to over 2,300 financial institutions and corporate members.  Shelly presents at regional and national industry conferences as an ACH payments expert and received her Accredited ACH Professional designation in October 2006.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education and is an active member on the AAP Blue Ribbon Panel and a NACHA Rules Workgroup.
