In 2012, there were many changes to federal laws and regulations regarding credit union deposit operations.  Did you miss any of these changes?  This webinar will review important changes that affect your credit union’s deposit operations.  It will also review final rules that will become effective in 2013.  This is an excellent way for your credit union to keep up-to-date on deposit operations.

What You Will Learn

  • ATM accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act became effective in March 2012
  • Reg E notice on outside of ATM is expected to be eliminated
  • Foreign remittance transfers require different disclosures, error resolution, and cancellation rights beginning in February 2013
  • UDAAP violation when member opted-in but credit union never intended to pay overdrafts caused by ATM or debit card transactions
  • All federal benefit payments will become electronic in March 2013
  • Unlimited deposit insurance for non-interest-bearing accounts eliminated December 31, 2012

About the Presenter:
Elizabeth Fast, Esq. is a partner with Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP where she specializes in the representation of financial institutions.  Elizabeth is the head of the firm’s training division.  She received her law degree from the University of Kansas and her undergraduate degree from Pittsburg State University.  In addition, she has a Master of Business Administration degree and she is a Certified Public Accountant.  Before joining Spencer Fane, she was General Counsel, Senior Vice President, and Corporate Secretary of a $9 billion bank with more than 130 branches, where she managed all legal, regulatory, and compliance functions.  She is a member of the Missouri State Banking Board by appointment of the Governor.
