Understanding & Navigating the ACH Rules for the RDFI

Presenter: Shelly Simpson, AAP, EPCOR
Date: Tuesday, April 24, 2012
Time: 2:00 - 3:30 pm Central

Focus:
While the RDFI is considered a passive player in ACH transaction processing, they are still exposed to risk and potential liability.  Therefore, it is important that RDFIs understand their responsibilities under the ACH Rules.  This webinar will be extremely beneficial because it is designed to address two main issues:

  1. applying the NACHA Operating Rules (ACH Rules) to everyday processing situations, and
  2. locating information within the rule book.

You will receive an overview of the ACH Rules book layout and review the articles most critical to an RDFI’s ACH operations, ensuring you understand your credit union’s compliance responsibilities. Don’t forget to bring your 2012 Rule Book!

Continuing Education: Attendance verification for CE credits and/or 1.8 AAP credits provided upon request.

What You Will Learn

  • Review the ACH Network governing rules
  • Who is NACHA?
  • Your credit union’s responsibilities and how they relate to the articles in the rules
  • Quickly locate the answers to questions related to ACH processing
